WHERE: Facebook Live

WHEN:

Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. for virtual opening celebration.

Our second suite at Huron Shores Hospice will make quality end-of-life care more accessible to our community. The opening of our second suite is thanks to many volunteer hours and to our donors and sponsors who specifically provided funding and in-kind donations to make the 2nd suite a reality. The capital to furnish and equip the suite as well as secure two years of operational funding was funded solely by the community.

QUOTE FROM CO-CHAIR, CHERYL COTTRILL:

The virtual opening is a community celebration of three years of planning and fundraising, with the dream of expanding quality end-of-life care in our community. Today we celebrate the community’s achievement to make this happen, as we would not be opening this suite without their tremendous support. Our donors, sponsors, supporters and volunteers made the opening of our second residential hospice suite a reality.

In the past three years we have had to tell more than twenty families that our hospice bed was full and we could not accommodate their request for the admission of their loved one. It is heartbreaking every time we have to do this. Our hope with the opening of the second suite is that we will never again have to say no to anyone needing our services in the community.

COMMUNITY VIRTUAL OPEN HOUSE:

The Board of Directors of Huron Shores Hospice proudly invites the public, to log on to our Facebook page at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 to celebrate the opening of our second suite. Please join us on Facebook to see what your generosity has created!
