One of our comfort care volunteers, Denise, shared how something as simple as a hug can say “you are not alone” when words fall short. In times of deep grief, gentle human connection can bring peace, reassurance, and a sense of being held through the hardest moments.

As we prepare for the opening of our third hospice suite, we are continually reminded that creating room for more compassion is not only about space within our walls. It is about the generosity, kindness, and love shared by our community. Recently, Amanda McTeer reached out after seeing an item on our third suite wishlist. She offered to donate a Keurig machine, a simple but meaningful comfort that helps families feel a little more at home during incredibly difficult moments.

Tiverton & District Lion's Club and Huron Shores Hospice are thrilled to be carrying this popular lottery forward. Thanks to your incredible support, Catch the Ace has already raised more than $600,000 dollars for hospice care close to home and for important community projects. That impact is something we are deeply proud of and grateful for.

As our hospice continues to grow and expand, so does our need for dedicated individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in their community. Volunteering is more than lending a hand. As we flip the calendar to 2026, our hearts are full ; and no, it’s not just from all the leftover holiday cookies 🍪 (although those definitely helped)! At Huron Shores Hospice, every act of generosity creates a ripple — a wave of compassion that spreads far beyond what we can see . Today, we are thrilled to celebrate two incredible gifts that are making a powerful impact in our community. First, a huge thank you to VG Renovations  and Joel Van Geest for their generous $1,000 donation made today. But this isn’t Joel’s first time making waves — since 2019, Joel’s kindness and commitment have raised $7,250  for hospice care!

Since the very beginning of Huron Shores Hospice, the Kincardine Bridge Club  has been there, consistently and compassionately supporting hospice care in our community. Their generosity is a beautiful reminder that when people come together with purpose, the impact can be extraordinary.
