Room for More Compassion

As we prepare for the opening of our third hospice suite, we are continually reminded that creating room for more compassion is not only about space within our walls. It is about the generosity, kindness, and love shared by our community.
Recently, Amanda McTeer reached out after seeing an item on our third suite wishlist. She offered to donate a Keurig machine, a simple but meaningful comfort that helps families feel a little more at home during incredibly difficult moments. When Amanda arrived to deliver the Keurig, she surprised our team with an entire load of groceries as well. Her generosity left us truly speechless.
This thoughtful donation was made in memory of two of Amanda’s aunts and her grandmother. Through her gift, their memory will live on in a very tangible way, offering warmth, nourishment, and comfort to families who will call our suites home during some of life’s most tender days.
This is the ripple of one in action. One person seeing a need. One decision to give. One moment of kindness that creates waves of compassion far beyond what was first imagined.
The opening of our third suite represents room for more compassion. It means more families supported, more moments of peace, and more care when it is needed most. Our wishlist helps make this possible by inviting our community to contribute in ways that are tangible and deeply impactful. Items like groceries, small appliances, and comfort essentials all play a role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for those we serve.
We invite you to follow our social media for Wishlist Wednesdays to see what you can contribute in a tangible way. Each item tells a story. Each gift becomes part of the care we provide. Each act of generosity creates another ripple.
We are incredibly grateful to Amanda and to everyone who continues to help us make room for more compassion. Together, we are opening our doors wider and ensuring that no one walks this journey alone.
