We are thrilled to announce that Ontario’s Ministry of Health has approved funding that will allow us to expand to three hospice beds at our hospice in Tiverton. This significant investment will fund essential nursing and personal support services, ensuring compassionate, high-quality care for more residents and their families in the region.
"We are deeply grateful for this substantial support from the Ontario government, which reflects their commitment to providing end-of-life care in rural communities," said Cathy Herbert, Executive Director of Huron Shores Hospice.
"This funding allows us to continue providing excellent care for our existing residents while expanding our capacity to serve even more individuals and families when they need us most."
This expansion marks a major milestone, helping us meet the growing demand for end-of-life care in our region. With this funding, more residents can receive dignified, personalized care close to home, surrounded by their loved ones.
Thank you to the Ontario government, our community, and our volunteers for your continued support. Together, we are creating a world where end-of-life receives the same beauty, care, and respect as the beginning, by making moments matter
