You did it! Our community supported our dream to open a second suite at Huron Shores Hospice and we are now ready to open the suite to provide quality end-of-life care to more people in our community.

As Margaret J Wheatley said, “There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.” We are so grateful to our community for caring about the need for expanded quality end-of-life care and coming together to make our second suite a reality.

On Tuesday, April 13 at 10:00 a.m. the Board of Directors would like to celebrate the virtual opening of our second suite at Huron Shores Hospice with our generous community. This opening is a result of many volunteer hours and thousands of dollars donated, both in-kind and monetary from our generous community over the past three years. Because of your generosity we hope to never have to tell another family in our community that the hospice is full and we cannot accommodate their admission. It is absolutely heartbreaking every time this happens.

We’ve said this before, but it warrants saying again: Thank you for stepping up in a big way to share our dream to expand quality end-of-life care in our community!
