Bruce Telecom donates communication services to support residents and their families at Huron Shores

Bruce Telecom has donated complimentary internet, phone and television services for the second suite at Huron Shores Hospice. These services will support future residents and their families and enable them to stay in touch with loved ones through an unlimited high speed streaming internet service and an unlimited long distance plan. A full digital TV package will provide entertainment to residents and their families while residing in the suite. The complimentary services will be for a period of two years from the opening of the new suite, which will take place in February or March of this year. This donation is in addition to a $5,000 cash donation Bruce Telecom presented to Huron Shores Hospice in December.

“Everyone has been touched in some way by the death of a loved one, and this area is truly blessed to have Huron Shores Hospice as a support for individuals and their families during these difficult times,” said Stephanie Brunato, Manager of Sales, Marketing and Customer Care. “All of us here at Bruce Telecom are honoured to be able to support such a vital organization in our community.”

Huron Shores Hospice is a charitable not-for-profit, volunteer-led, community-funded residential hospice, providing complimentary quality end-of-life care, at no cost, to residents of Saugeen Shores, Kincardine and Huron-Kinloss and surrounding areas. Huron Shores Hospice also provides free programs for Grief Recovery, End of Life Doula services, Death Cafes and End-of-Life Planning workshops.

“Bruce Telecom is a longtime supporter of our community hospice,” said Cheryl Cottrill, Co-Chair of Huron Shores Hospice. “They provided the same complimentary package in our existing suite and we are so thankful for this additional support for the second suite. Bruce Telecom has also been a wonderful community partner supporting our annual events and also provided a $5,000 cash donation just before Christmas, which will help us purchase necessary items for the second suite.”
